GE announced it is bringing in 1,100 jobs to Van Buren Michigan.  This exciting news is great for Michigan residents and graduates in the state. GE is bringing in an advanced manufacturing and Software technology center with employment for scientists and engineers. They will be focusing on renewable energy, gas turnines, jet engines, wind turbines and other technology avenues.

The center is set to open this year and will be at Visteon Villiage in Van Buren Township. GE will also develop a facility that cost about $100 million and will be around 100,000 sqft for research and developement.
