History
Originally, the pristine land known as Farmington Hills was Native American owned. In the early 1800’s it was sold to the United States government. Farmington Hills was then purchased by Arthur Power, a gentleman who resided in Farmington New York at the time, thus the inevitable name of the community.  From the Power family came generation after generation of citizens that would eventually grow into the Farmington Hills Village.
